Deciever of Fools

CAUTION! CONTAINS PERSONAL POLITICAL OPINONS!
(Some material discussed may not be suitable for all viewers - Viewer Descretion Advised)

So... the liberal government fell yesterday... I'm all excited... why am I excited you ask? It's because... dun dun dun... I'm FINALLY legal voting age! Woot! Yes...I said "woot"... for whatever demented reason federal politics amuse me...

NDP - Layton seems like a decent enough "nice guy"... he appears to show those feelings of genuinely wanting to make the world a better place. For whatever reason, he reminds me of a carebear (don't ask why)... and if not a carebear, than that really nice guy at an ice cream shop that feels sorry for you because you don't have enough change for your chocolate ice cream cone, so he lets you have your ice cream for free... or something equally nice like that. In my opinion, I think that all that will happen with the NDP in this election, is that the party will gain a few more seats... *shrugs*

Conservatives - In my opinion, Harper is a prime-minister-wannabe; he reminds me of that arrogant cocky bastard who would try to steal your money (if you're older), or possibly steal candy from a baby... he just has that "aura" around him... that stealing candy bastard... I believe his (horrible) hair to be fake, if he is lying about his hair, what else is he lying about? In addition, I believe that if he cut the fucking shit of always wanting to bring up same-sex marriage, if he emphasized the party's platform INSTEAD of trying to appeal to the countries bible-thumping-homophobic population, then they might actually have a chance. Very unlikely, but at least the glimmer of hope (MIGHT) be there... I highly doubt that the Conservatives will come to power any time soon, and in the event the Conservatives don't come to power, they might possibly start to reconsider Harper as their leader. (If you could not already tell, I'm not what one would consider a conservative supporter... haha)

Blocquebecois - bless their francophone-ness... they serve as an "other" option for those who are currently hating the liberals, or supporting seperatism... or just don't want to vote conservative... *shrugs* I haven't heard too much about this party lately, but I'm sure that when I do, I will form more of an opinion and blog about them sometime in the future.

Liberals - Martin has done an okay job; the fact that he's been standing up to that fucker Bush makes me want to give him brownies, or at least "brownie points" as it's commonly called. Every party will make some mistakes when they're in power - after all (despite all the political corruption) they're still human, ergo humans make mistakes, that's what makes us humans, we MAKE mistakes. The whole Gomery Report may have quite an effect on their support in (more so in Quebec)... but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if they remained in power...

So... that's my (current) political opinions regarding the four "main" parties... green party got 4-point-something-percent in the last federal election... perhaps they'll gain a percent or two... however I'm pretty sure that this election will be more based on not wanting the "evil" conservatives gain power of our country... after all, Harper DOESN'T LOVE our country... he basically said so while questioned by an interviewer... or, maybe he was just TOO masculine and wanting to show how heterosexual-want-to-be-prime-minster he really was and didn't want to say that little four-letter word that we know everyone likes to hear once in awhile...

Ice Queen

Needless to say, I don't have much to talk about - one might ponder why I'm even updating this thing, the only answer that I can come up with, is out of sheer bordom, and I cannot think of anything better to do at the moment. Not much has happened the last few days; except that I only have one more "term" paper to do (English), and then I am completed all of those god-forsaken multi-page essays. About bloody time if you ask me; I very much despise writting papers...
While flipping through my agenda book today, it dawned on me that there is only about two weeks until final exams; I very much cannot believe that the semester is almost over (yay)... which means, that next semester is going to go by just as quickly (hopefully), and I'll have three months of summer vacation at my disposal. Yayness, yayness indeed. I'm taking the same courses next semester, the only difference is that anthropology is going to be "biological" anthropology... all of the other courses remain the same - and I also have Tuesdays and Thursdays are days off! Yay! Only going to school three days a week! Yay!
I don't know what I'm doing this weekend; most likely working on that evil, evil english paper... and sleeping; oh the sleep that shall be had! Haha... probably won't sleep that much, but at the moment I am liking the idea of sleep... mmm, sleep...speaking of which, I'm going to go to bed now, a bientot...

The Promise

Bleh, today was rather... long... and by long, I mean not too long, but long enough that by the time my last class of the day finished, it seemed like it was 8pm, rather than 4:30pm... Oyi, long day... tomorrow will most likely crawl by, as I'm going over to a friend's house to study for our psychology exam. The exam is on Friday, there will be much studying for the exam - as well, I have a philosophy (rough draft) to work on which is due either Friday, or next week (prof. is thinking of changing the due date)... next week my anthropology paper is due, and the week after that, an english paper. Youpi; don't I sound excited? Eventually I will get all of this god-forsaken work done - eventually... I am currently pondering the idea, that if I were to hide under my bed for a significant amount of time, perhaps the work would complete itself (?) I very much doubt it, but it's a nice idea to have nonetheless...
Hmm, la dee dum... I'm going to apply for that french program again this year; doubt that I'll get in two years in a row, but it's worth a try right? Yes... yes it is... and... I need to start to figure out what classes I'm going to take next year; might as well try to figure out everything... first semester is finished in about a month (?)... so there's time, but not much time... oyi... how I want to hide under my bed... oh comfy, comfy bed...

Memories

I'm tired... and will soon be going to bed; though I slept until around 11:30 this morning - after waking up at 8:30 to help shovel snow. I like snow, however I greatly detest the cold that comes with it. If there could be snow, and a temperature of +28 I would be quite content. Definately a summer person, winter needs to go away... how many months until summer? I didn't do much all weekend; I got my hair "fixed" yesterday afternoon, and did a bit of homework. Let me elaborate on the hair situation: it's better, I no longer want to hack off my hair with a rusty pair of safety scissors. However, when I got there, the woman sicked another hairstylist on me, saying that, that was the "style" and it was "to die for" and how non of my friends or family have style whatsoever if I got any negative comments about my hair (I did get a few comments)... bullshit, if I actually wanted that inconsistancy and lopsidedness I would have asked for it ... upon these comments, I told her that if I truely wanted what had been done, I would've done it myself, and saved myself the money and grabbed a box of dye from the drugstore... what I don't get, is that you pay for a service, not to listen to someone bitch about how nothing was wrong in the first place; don't get me wrong, sometimes it's nice to have a hairstylist strike up a conversation - however, I paid for a service, and something tells me, that it's the customer's opinion of what they want that matters. Oh well.... my hair was fixed as best as it can be... I can live. Yay. Did I ever mention that the receptionist called me morbid? Two of my friends (from school) came by when my appointment was over (they waited patiently) and one of them said something about me now having blonde'ish hair, and wearing pink and grayish pants rather than my emmense wardrobe of black... the receptionist then says, "you always wear black? how morbid are you? YOU'RE MORBID"... how can someone who's never in their life seen me until that point, call someone morbid. What makes the colour you prodominately wear a certain adjective/type of person? If I called every girl that I saw wearing low-rise pants and bubble-gum pink tops sluts, they wouldn't appreciate it, why call someone who wears black morbid? It doesn't make any sence... like... GAH I don't know. I don't think I'm going to that place again... next time I will save myself the grief and do it myself, or book an appointment with that guy that has done my hair before... oyi.
Hmm, so yea... hmm... I think that I'm going to head off to bed - this week I will probably be living at the school; as I have a philosophy rough draft (of an essay) and a psychology exam due/on this friday... then in a week I have an anthropology paper due, which I should start on this week.... and an english paper due at the end of the month... Yep... something tells me that I will be living at the school... as long as I have some spare change for coffee and my laptop with me, I should be fine.
That's all that I have to babble on today, a tot tot

My World

My hair... needs to go die now... looked in the mirror today, one side is longer than the other and cut on a completely different angle than the other side of my head. The dye job, hiddious - there's chunks of dark dye, most likely a mistake. This hair... is a mistake. I shouldn't have cut it. At least one side of my head looks relatively normal... this is definately going on the list of "bad hair" I've had.... Gah!!! *insert explict words here* Fucking fuck fuck fuck... Gah! At least hair grows back right?? RIGHT?!?! Grr.... I'm not a happy child... bad streaks, horrible cut... maybe it would less-horrible if I just dyed all of my hair one colour... grr stab stab stabbity stab stab... STAB!

Mobile

Hmm, not much going on - just school, and I'm officially a... blonde'ish person... two different shades of blonde, along with a few streaks of brunette that my hair previously was - it's a bit wierd... well, not wierd... very different I suppose is the correct phrase. Oh well... I'll go back to being a brunette when my hair grows out... I also got it cut - it's a bit shorter in the back, and longer in the front; no one would notice, I don't think... I will have to play with my straightening iron in the morning.... flip it out and play with goop... and by goop, I mean gel... yay for hairstyling products.

It snowed the other day... kind of... as much as I like snow, it needs to go away... it's gone now, but it'll be back... which has me wondering, how many months until summer?

Complicated

I am very much relieved that I have finished my sociology paper; however I am still waiting for the time to lamenate, and vacume-seal the paper for all of eternity. If you have not already noticed, I am quite proud that I actually finished the paper... it took so long to finish. Grr, yes, that's right, "grr".

Friday night my good friend Slushie is coming over - a belated halloween, if you will. There will be plenty of horror movies watched. Random note regarding horror movies; is it wrong of me to admit that some of those movies make me giggle? Saw was a good movie, I'm looking forward to (eventually) seeing the sequel... if it turns out to be one of those sequels that "butcher" the original movie, I might just have to cry. According to one friend, Saw 2 was "nasty"... that generally translates into me giggling...

Thought of the day: Therepy is expensive, popping bubble plastic is cheap... you'll see...

Anything But Ordinary

Well, I did it - I finally finished that god-forsaken evil sociology paper that was haunting me like the smelly sock on my floor that I didn't bother to move. The assignment was rather easy('ish), just...so time consuming... is this what university's all about? Time consuming assignments that make you want to gnaw-off your own toe? Why a toe... and why "gnaw" I don't know; it was the first things that popped into my head.

Now that I'm done that paper, it's going to be lamenated, and put into an air-tight container that will withstand and survive through all eternity - might be a bit drastic for such a trivial thing... but I don't care. If there was a possibility of being paid for the hours it took to finish that damn thing, I'd be rich... which would mean a trip to Nice, France. Something "Nice" for something being done... oyi... now, I will start working on philosophy again...

My foot is tingly, not a normal tingling either... wierd... is it wrong that a tingling foot is amusing me so much right now? Maybe I should get back to work... and by back to work I mean start philosophy... instead of being facinated by a foot... that would be the wise thing to do... right?

Girl Anachronism

It seems that I now have a "blogger" blog... as if one wasn't enough already... my mother wanted a blog; so, I had to set her up one - I don't use "blogger" so, when I didn't know my way around this site in under 2.8 seconds, it was "LEARN BLOGGER!" so... I now have more than one blog, because my mother refused to use one that... I had ever heard of... *cough*crazy*cough*

So, now that I've sufficiently wasted a good hour on "blogging" because of my mother, I need to go back to writing my term paper like I'm SUPPOSED to be doing....
